Finally finished downloading the beta client in the wee hours of Friday morning, played it early this morning and all this evening. Smashing game, very playable and with lots of class, Blizzard, touches.

The user interface is not as customisable as the EQ2 one, but the game - in my humble opinion - is a much better one. Much easier to get things done, but still plenty of quests and plenty of flavour. No interminable loading screens. Personalised characters with plenty of options to spec them differently to other players. Much better combat system.

Only at one stage this evening did I feel I was grinding, as I was 'in between' quests that were suitable for my wee dwarf hunter's level. Oh and because I was desperately trying to get level 10 (and animal charm) before having to log.

Unfortunately I was unable to accomplish my goal, but I must say I've had more fun in a few hours of WoW than I had in 3 weeks of EQ2.

Get it pre-ordered now, 'nuff said.

EQ2 sucks ive been playing it for 3 weeks now and finally quit yesterday, the game has too many horrible touches to even talk about.

I will say this the quests in EQ2 are not a patch on WoW quests there is no story what so ever behind EQ2 quests.. in WoW quests you feel like your accomplishing something doing the quests, always a nice interesting story behind them.

Now i can concentrate my time on WoW all i can say is bring on expansion packs please with more races/classes :p

Yea, the game rox, loving it so far :) Can't wait until I get higher lvl and see what I can accomplish with my mage :D

Aada, I hope you not Totem on Horde Illidan (US retail). If so, then you suck.
If not, then its nps :D

I levelled my little warlock in the US beta to 19 without grinding a single piece of xp, quests all the way.

Such a refreshing change from the drudgery of daoc :)

No no no, this is what ruined DAoC originally, when SI was released, the classes were totally OP, and ruined the balance of the game.

Don't know which race you played, but playing an undead warlock this morning for a few hours I've already caught up on my dwarf hunter ... more quests to do and better rewards. Or maybe I just know what I'm doing now?! (sort of)

Turamber if you play Alliance some more then be sure to do the Defias quests and especially the ones from Sentinel Hill as they are a great storyline and fantastic xp when you get to the instanced quests. They start around level 10+ or something and will keep you busy till 25ish.

I'll take a free beta account to :worthy:

I can't wait for expansion packs, Blizzard always do atleast one expansion pack, and they are always great.

DAoC Shrouded Isles expansion pack was great, but the other were naff.

Anyways hurry up europe release!

Well i stopped playing EQ2 the other day due to the boredom and virtually no solo content while waiting for a group, so am now back to waiting on WoW like i have done for a couple of years again :)

Played the US OB and enjoyed it.

But i keep getting the feeling that it is too easy to level, even as you get higher in level.

Does anyone have any info on this? I dont want it to be hard to level, but as i get higher i do want a challange.
DAoC was a good leveller i thought, although maybe just a tad hard at 45+.
