Just found a great freeware remake, only played 30 mins but so far so good and 500 star system galaxys with multiplayer is gonna rock.

MoO 2 is a classic game.

MoO 3 was an abortion of a game that should have never seen the light of day. It was inept on a scale that is incredulous to think it even got published.

EDIT: Worth mentioning MoO 3 was done by a different developer.

Not had much time to give this a go yet, but right from the start the interface is already better than MoO 3.
