When i created Efour, i went for the troll because of the description of him making a formidable warrior, which yes sure he does in PvE- Ive started soloing reds now on occasions which for me is pretty damn fine and alot of fun, yellows and blues i just stick to go afk for 1 minute and come back to get the loot.

But RvR size is the only thing that matters therefore troll=dead

statring stats= My first daoc character and really clueless
trolls i thought strong enough, none there. Con, i didnt really understand what this ment and i thought hmm troll big must have high Hps (never understood dwarfs) so none there. Dex and Quick ahhh Im a big fat slow troll so i want to be faster i thought, so i dumped i think 15 into each.

Now quickness, pointless no matter wat anyone says
Dex Primrary stat really second to HPs, 1 extra block will save the hps from a hit on u.

therefore id go 10 dex, 10 con, possibly 10 quick but more likely more con more dex.

i do love my warrior really and i was so impressed with my first solo rvr encounter i smiled for days (killed an orange Merc, who i was hoping would kill me so i didnt have to run to APK odins to suicde )

still i wouldnt pick a troll if i could do it all again

Agreed, love Gallak but trolls are nice and big to click on in RvR We're just so loveable tho, we /blush cuter than any class, and what other species can remove sleeves and /flex as mightily as a Troll?

Troll Thanes have it even worse than troll warriors do

There is NO justification at being a troll thane at lvl 50

Your STR will be capped at 300... im 311 with a shaman that has 22 in aug, which is most shamans. Everything above 300 is a utter waste.

I put 10 points in STR, thinking I'd be really strong and wanted to hit hard. Then 7 points shared between dex/quick, and 10 in piety. 3 points in emaphty. Don't ask me why, it looked good 10 months ago.

Wish I had put 10 con / dex / pie instead of useless strength

Wish I could respec my race (i'd go norse), and my starting stats.

I too choose troll to be very hard hitting, and thought being large in charactor, i would have loads of hp as well.
But as said, your str is far to easily capped, and we dont get dex when we lvl at all, which champs get, and now they also have a str/con buff as well. When do we get our dex/quick buff?

for the size of a troll you might aswell wear bright pink armour, pity might make you less of a target, and nothing beats a Kobbie femme in leather armour (or is that just me???), but the norse women must come a close second.

how does a norse warrior compare to a troll, i know the stat differance isn't to much of a diferance cos of the cap but how do they p[lay??

Is there not some merit to playing a Troll warrior in RvR though?

I mean you're the best person to take punishment in a group so by being a Troll, and easily targetable, aren't you actually increasing the effectiveness of your group - albeit at the expeense of personal glory?

Just a thought as I think Trolls are the best looking char in the game (except those hideous Troll women, I pray I'm never THAT drunk . . . again ).

Jace no, we're the ones most likely to dish out punishment, Dwarves are much better at taking punishment due to thier high con, or kobolds due to their high dex and blocking/parrying. Trolls are the most likely of the races to cap STR, nothing else

But yes we are the sexiest of all the characters in the game. norse women fawn over us and even kobold ladies are quite protective. Troll ladies think they know better and treat us mean to keep us keen, but I much prefer a hug from a softy.
