Aye up sensible comment here
Was hunting in the pit underneath Avalon city with 2FGs and when we killed the named mob he dropped a belt. and after a long winded argument about how we're going to decided who got the belt, I eventually won on the random 100 rule, but got a really childish pm from Feeder about how i'm a cheat and i'm on his ignor list etc etc, when having looked over the chat log I did plainly win it fair and square, certainly to the extent that the people who were running the lotto were happy enough to give me it
but anyways, not trying to start an argument here, just want to formally write it here where everyone will agree to it (hopefully)
So i hereby decree that every hunt should always use the same rules for lottoing drops
Always use the /random 100 rule
Alts, Guildys, Mates, Pets, Grandparents, 2nd cousins twice removed are not elegable for the lotto
You are only entitled to enter the draw if the drop is something that is for your class, IE something with high parry +'s is not something for a caster, and something with high intelligence is not something for an Armsman/woman
if no one wants the item, only then does it become a free for all and people can bid for scrap, alts etc etc etc...
Lotto's are done at the END of the hunt, no break for 10 mins whilst we auction off the cuddy toy or the holiday for 2 to the maldeeves. if anything it is a good incentive to keep people in the hunting party and thus allowing the group to go on and kill more stuff.
If you leave the group for any reason, you loose your claim for the auction - if you LD and come back in time to regroup that is fine, if you log for dinner and come back an hour later.. Tough luck!
Designated carriers are decided at the start of the hunt, they should be the first Pally/Arms down the group list from the top. Drops should be handed over immediately after combat so people don't forget about stuff/ steal it and keep quiet
I know most people are already using this system, but i've seen other people using other systems that work equally aswel, but this seems to be the least time consuming. plus if we all agree to it now - then there will be no sitting about arguing about how we auction them off
