This is getting silly:

300GB of storage - enough for up to 462 games, 75,000 4-minute MP3 tunes or 300,000 high-resolution digital photos *

I think I could only just justify such a drive if I did a lot of DV editing.

That's a lotta lotta of data It set me thinking about this article I read ages ago. Basically, a team of researchers funded by BT of all people somehow calculated that you could fit the entire memory of a person into 'just' five petabytes (~1,000,000 gigabytes/1,000 terrabytes) of storage. The hypothetical person was based around someone living to the age of 100, with a photographic memory from the day they were born. Of course it's just a load of hypothetical statistics, but it's disturbing to think humans can be quantified in such a way
