I've read that they've filmed 5 death scenes for saruman, I didn't think saruman died? (something to do with them (hobbits) finding their home very different when they get back is it?) It's been too long since I read them.

***********SPOILER******************

In Two Towers he runs from Isengard. But then at the end of Return of the King he has taken over the Shire. I believe he runs away but his servant, Grima Wormtongue stabs him in the back.
Something like that, it's been a while since I read all the books.

The film will probably change the plot anyways.

Well, so far, I think they've done well with the plot and kept it fairly un-changed. The only one I disliked was the shoe-horning of liv tylers character in places where she wasn't in the books. As much as I liked tom bombadill I figued he wouldn't be in it.

/edit xtro what are you on about? Isn't it too early to be drunk? :p

ah ok ok I get it. It was the first public showing of some star wars film (1 most probably) and he was doing a tour of the 'interesting' fans. Besides it was a valid question and not geeky at all....not geeky

never confused!

/edit must teach myself to read one of these days. Star wars 2 it was. I was un-masked as a geek at work when I made the (wrong) assumption that my work mates knew the line 'That's no moon' from (which of them) the original star wars films.
