But Tom bombadil is completly left out, so you dont miss him in the movie (unless you read the book ). But Saruman doesnt have an ending now and you need to buy the extended version to see what has become of him (or read the book ). I would prefer, if they would put in the 7 mins extra so most people actually know what has happened to Saruman.

Who the hell cares about this scene, it's not even one from the book, just another god awful scene written by Peter Jackson and co. Just look at all that guff in the middle of the Two Towers that he inserted with Aragorn and Arwen, terrible. I'm glad the cut this out, but I would rather they had filmed Saruman's proper ending as in the book which is far more powerful and meaningful.

I heard it ends with Middle Earth being another Matrix and Saruman is just an incarnation of Agent Smith while The One is already known now to be just a ring. Frodo is just the equivalent of a removable zip drive hard-disk.

Er...no it isn't. I could go into details about how saruman meets his end in the book, but I don't want to spoil it for people on this forum who haven't read it.
Suffice to say that this scene is about saruman's death at the beginning of Return of the King, while in the book he still has a role to play right up to the penultimate chapter, well after the war ends.

Aye it seems Mr Jackson has taken more poetic licence. He has completely ignored the 'Scouring the Shire' in favour of a lame arsed rewrite early in RotK and now he has even done away with that scene for the cinematic release. Shame on you Peter Jackson, you sold out.
