losing a lvl 50 char

Hi,
Im new to forums and i was wanting you all to help me out on a issue i have been having. I have a lvl 50 shade char on Escalibur Hibernia and i recently have been denied all access to this char. The reason being someone had gotten my game password and details and was using my char to scam peeps. I wanted to ask you do you think it is right for GOA to take my account from me even though it was not me doing the scams. I do understand the issue and it is not nice to be scammed. I also want to apologise to anyone who was scammed on the 19th of June which is the date it happened. I would like to hear from peeps as soon as they see this message cause it hurts me deep down to lose my character which took me a year to perfect.

thought Goa wasent allowed to ban ppl for scamming as acc traning is against the "law" and that they can never prove the person who gave you the items dident give them to you as a "gift".

on the other hand its nice to see that they have taken action against scammers to bad it afffected you aswell

You have my sympathy, mate. If I would work for GOA I would unban your account momentarily.
Sure, you traded your account with someone else which is against the CoC but a lot of peeps are doing that and imo GOA knows that very well.

All you can do now is write them a mail and "beg" for their sympathy. Hopefully your mail reaches someone who can understand your problem.

Guys i think you are missunderstanding the post. the account is origanaly mine. some evil person has managed to get there hands on my details and got my chars deleted. they did not use my main char for some aparent reason.. they made new chars.. anyway it was my account from the start but the person who did it stole money on peeps. i am more than willing to pay whatever the lose is. but i can not pay anything back because i have no acc. and tell me this would you be annoyed if you lost a lvl 50 nightshade? ofc you would.. please post a reply i need all the support you got.

And for anyone who knows me they will know it was not me i could not do that to anyone.

did you give your account details to anyone?

do you have a fixed IP address?

Did you report the times you owned the account and the times the supposed imposter had access to the account.

Did you give this person your Subs password to??? (and if so why?? If not why didnt change password)

Well...it doesnt matter to me tbh. You got my support on this anyway but hopefully it will make a difference to GOA and they will unban you and restore your chars.

if you get scammed, there is prolly some conversation where the scamed fellow will try to get his item back.

well no joy yet on my shade back .. feeling really deprressed now. as i said i will give whatever was taken back (dont know what was taken) as far as i know it was some cash but whatever was taken i want my account back. They have been ignoring my mails which worries me they keep on sending me back the same response every time " we are not allowed to change your subscription password" they have known for a while someone else had my details. Maybe it was a hacker but i was aware someone had em. and they were not willing to help me. now they close my account saying i was the one who did it im telling you maybe this is the end of a lone relationship well guys keep up with your support it helps it really does.

Ig GOA said that it was you that scammed people, then they must have proof of some form.

The easiest way would them to look at the IP addresses that you log in with, and the IP address your character was logged in with at the time of the scam. If your on a fixed IP, the IP address would be identical every time you log in, and that would mean that GOA could without doubt say that it was you who scammed people.

Well the thing is i work in a internet cafe so it could be hard proving it was me.. and i know for a shadow of doubt i did not do anything of the sort.

I think its wrong of GOA, just to ignore u like that, and when u even has asked em to change ur PW i think its worng that they says that its ur fault, as it would not have happened, if they had changed it...

Tho i still think that they has to hit down hard on scammers.

But if u can prove, tho it might be hard, if the one doing it was on in the netcafe, as ur in too, that it wasnt u, i think they should unban u in the same as u can prove it, tho i cant imagine that u could ever do a thing like that...

Really hope that GOA will atleast look at this case

if your char is in the backup slots it should be np.

and with the account-thingy, thats not allowed i think, you cant be held responsible for some chap who got scammed, if they push accept, goa cant do anything about it, in fact, its not a reason to get reported for even.

If they didnt prevent access, its use would be carried on by the scammer and you couldnt log in anyway as 'account is already logged in'.

ok had a thought from GOAs point of view,


they could see it as either,

1/ you scammed people, so ban him. He claims it was someone else so ignore him as he is the scammer etc

2/ a scammer has his account details so it will be used for further scamming so ignore appeals to open account again

Thier options are give back the account with new password (surely it can be done?) if case 2, or if case 1 ignore etc.

Just go about proving case 2.
