Lose Sound

I play TFC, CS, FLF, and many other games besides half-life and whenever I am playing in-game or just chatting on my desktop for no reason i lose sound. I have a Aureal Vortex2 SQ2500. I have Win2kPro and the latest drivers for it. I have asked many people and no one knows. If you can help, please help me.

I presume you flick between HL and your desktop, when you flick back into HL, just press escape, and they click resume, your sound will come back

That only works if you connect t a server using command line or gamespy/pingtool.

If you use the ingame browser you can only escape to the multiplayer menu level, and thus cant click the button you need to resume the game. Only way in this case is to exit the game to main menu and reconnect.

Yeah but the in game browser Only time i ever used that, was the day the game got released, nearly 3 years back
