According to The Inquirer, Intel have dropped their price of the 1.4Ghz P4 CPU below the price of the P3 933. This is attributed to Intel`s huge effort in pushing P4s out of the door. AMD are expected to respond - watch this space.

hmmm, maybe i will wait a bit before i get my AMD athlon, i wana see how far down AMD can push their prices.

I don't think you'll find much more of a drop in AMD prices as they will still undercut both the P3/P4 all that might happen it that they'll stop making sub 1Ghz and shift production over to higher speeds. This might mean a small drop.
