If most of the games meet there release dates then it'll be a cracker of a year for the gaming community. The games I'm most looking forward to are:
Doom 3: As long as they do a good job this will either bring back the old days where you felt like you were going to fill you pants or it'll disgrace the original Doom.
Halo: Looks amazing and if reports are any thing to go by it could be one of the best games of the year.
MS Train Simulator: Only Joking
Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Well Need I say more.
Simsville: A mix between The Sims and Sim City 3000, sounds like they are finally going to make the game that SC3000 was meant to be.
TF2: Could be another contender for game of the year, should actually make it out this year Hopefully it'll stop rushing which is too common in CS and allow for bigger maps which aren't two way maps.
X-COM Alliance: Having played all the xcom games this is going to be fun actually being one of the ants you send to there deaths
Z Steel Soldiers: The first Z was fun but suffered from bad AI where it was either impossible to do or too easy
Outside considerations:
AVP2: First one was very scarey
Black & White: Strange but interesting
Duke Nukem Forever: Dancing girls.....
Emperor Battle for DUNE: Westwood go all 3D
Freelancer: Space nothing quite like it for medicine go round....hmmm Mary Poppins bah
GTA 3D: Lovely fun, you don't sit in traffic Make sure you get the control system right DMA.
Max Payne: Nice pictures....wheres the game they all came from
Theme Park Inc: Put loads of salt on chips and watch em puke.
Tribes 2: Well let me see it first and I'll tell you.
Unreal 2: Make it OpenGL or else
