Looking For Scout Template

Im looking for a good scout template please, as im new to the game, so i dont know what to add what and where

Plus i need to know which is best for a scout - Slash or Thrust

I got told to do this:

42 - Shield
47 - Bow
34- Stealth
26 - Thrust

Then i get people saying thats wrong

I just need to know a good one plz

You sure slash ?

Because isnt thrust based on 50% dex and Scouts have most dex ?!

You are not going to solo in RvR, or at least your not meant to by Mythic. So you will be buffed by the groups so your str will be higher also. Anyway, it's not a big difference if you have little less str than dex and use slash.

I would recommend slash just for the style (Ammy slash at 29 spec) and rolling a briton with +10 str/con/qui. Change str or con to dex if your worried about that but having 60 starting dex will get you to 305 max buffed at lvl 50. Over 300 has no benefit.

Ugh, have you no imagination? In my opinion templates are the height of laziness! Whats the point of building up a scout, through blood, sweat and tears if someone is telling you how to build him. You get slam at 42 shield. Thats all you need to know, now get the hell away from here, and build your own character! A pox on you sir! A pox!

Through trial and error... Noone knows what trials you'll be encountering the most, depends on your style of play. And noone will know what errors you find considering your style of play. You might want this, and others want that.

There are good scouts out there with the strangest specs. Nothing will make you perform bad.

Though maybe the basic thing which you can find use for in alot of occasions(because it gives a handy ability AND a good blockrate.), is 42 Shield for the Slam shield style, anytime use, long duration stun(9s stun). Nice get out of jail-free card, if you hit.

The rest depends on how you want to play. If you don't know yet, just play

It's not often u melee in grp tho . 29 slash are for SB's id say .

Thrust has lousy styles. Amesthy slash is uber .

because we all know, you really should be going to the Infil trainer at level 5

Personally I stumbled into:-

46 Longbow
42 Shield
36 Stealth
25 Thrust

Gives very good bow damage, the obligatory slam, stealth good enough to save your ass on most occassions and acceptable melee. I win probably 1 in 3 times I am jumped by a sb/ns and I think have only been killed by 1 archer in as long as I can remember.

RAs so far:-

Augmented Dexterity 3
Augmented Quickness 2
Augmented Constitution 1
Mastery of Archery 2
Mastery of Blocking 1
Dodger 1
Toughness 1
Regeneration 1
Tireless 2
Avoidance of Magic 1
Falcons Eye 2

I might respec into IP one day but I'm not sure.

I think my melee is a little too low, but unfortunately I was 48 when patch came in so have now lost my chance to respec. If I ever get to respec Ill probably drop bow by 1 and stealth by a couple to get 29 thrust/slash.

Anyway thats what I have - it aint perfect and I am no where near the best scout out there (only RR4 L2) but it suits the way I play.

Was heading to 34 stealth 43 LB 29 slash 42 Shield ...might get bow a bit higher and lower stealth a bit...overall it seems pretty good one.

if u gonna have a buffbot or go slash go brit, if not saracen.

more dex = more bow dmg, more blocking, more evading, more thrust dmg.
