am getting a lil sick of DAOK game at mo and cant seem to find sum-thing new to do. I am sick of pve had my fill of that sick of scroll farming pling chars ml exping off arty mobs i don't even have the uato pick up for loot ternd on unless i see sum-thing drop that is good i don't bother to pick any loot up

I've had my fill off rvr

i just cant find anything good to do now days and dun wana waste my subs as i have 9 months left on all 3 accounts

any suggestions on what to do plz just need sum-thing to get me interested in the game agane if i cant find any thing to do ill take a brake and only log in every now and then to pay the damed rent on em houses

Id have suggestion Glastonbury when it launched

It seemed to give daoc a shot in the arm and get a lot of people back onto Cluster

But now Im not so sure, havent been on Glast for a few days now and Im not that bothered tbh

try and organise a sidi raid, or PL sessions, roll an alt on another realm and get a few friends to mess around with. Join a bigger guild with more to do.

i find its not the game but the people you play with that keep me going back. The game is very dated in some areas, but i still have a laugh onliine.

What is your definition of "having your fill of RVR"? Have you:

-Run a keep take?
-Run a relic raid?
-Played in fixed group rvr?
-Played all 3 realms?
-Played all specs of your chars?
-Got RR11?
-Run reaver bomb groups?
-Run debuff groups?
-Run a guild?

I don't know how you play but you talk about being sick of PLing so I'll say this anyway and if it doesn't apply to you then never mind.
PLing is the best way to make the game boring. Find some friends (even just 2 or 3, don't need a full group) and make new characters. Level them together the old school way, chat, have fun don't watch the XP bar as you play and just ... play the game.

In my experience the people who say they hate PvE the most are the sort who spend all their time between 1-50 afk stuck to the back of a PL character and then afk stuck to their bot on ML raids. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Of course that kind of PvE is going to be very boring indeed. Me and my friends get together, raid some instances, do some quests, find some quiet xp spots, hunt some arties depending on what we're up for and have a blast.

If you don't enjoy the way the game is, try changing your play style.

If you've not done it before, try this :

Read none of the spoiler sites, and go in and try to beat all the instance dungeons with an appropriate level character or group. It's PvE, granted, but as you don't know what the final boss with throw at you (and sometimes what the rest will), coping with it can be a challenge.

I've done most of them, but still not attempted some.

Don't do them back to back, of course, just set one as a challenge one evening.

(Though with my necro, the biggest challenge was doing them without losing control of the pet and having it aggro large numbers of opponents without being in view - I'm getting better, though - and /release entrance for the win when it does happen)

don't forget there is also a human aspect in the game, duels, trifecta, quests, getting to know peeps, making friends, making a guild, leading a small army, conquer all and feel the rush of succes when you prevail.

Don't look for new stuff, as you'll need to wait for the next expansion then.
Of course there is lots to discover, but when you think you've seen it all, don't just remember you've been there once, remember an event you were on which was a thrill

The game is about excitement, trying to be no1 even when you realize you might never be.
I suggest, just keep on trying, because when I look at DAoC, I don't see just a game, there is several games in a community.
It's a world (if you know what I mean), and a world may always seem small, but is never to small for a single person

Don't quit m8, unless you really are fed up with it.

-Organise a nakked run race through teh realms (or comic ml raids )

We had a fun night ages ago in our /as - stuff like make some level 1 toons and have a race from Camelot to some obscure destination.
Make level 1 toons on Camlann and meet up and have some daft fights (turn ya safety flag off first etc)
Get a low level stealther and play hide n seek in Camelot or something..
Roll a new toon and go from lvl 1 and do quests n kill tasks etc instead of PL'ing - some of the low tier quests are actually quite ok and will help you re-visit spots you probably havent been in ages n ages.

DAOC aint just about the grind to 50 and endless rvr - like others have said - its about making friends, finding daft things to do within the game - distort the game mechanics into something new - like hide n seek etc, see what stuff you can find. Most of all - enjoy yourself - don't do stuff that feels like a grind.

Even take a break for a few weeks from DAOC and comeback fresh - sometimes thats better than trying to find new stuff to do.
