Good (50+) util with any friar-useable stats EXCEPT dex, pie, body, crush resist. Anyone know a suitable candidate? Croc tears would be perfect but sadly I don't think friars can activate it :( pity as my leet 2 end regen would be appreciated by those near me I'm sure.

Yer but its got crush resist and dex - which are both totally capped by all my other jewellery...and I'm already using one anyway.

:eek6: hope you're right...friars aren't listed on VOS but allegedly its "of limited use to others who tend their companion's wounds"....might give it a try.

By that I assume you mean absolutely smegging impossible to get my grubby mitts on?

Well here's what I came up with, using the Croc ring. Think it would actually work better with the Oblivion one but Croc is probably easier to get:

Good things are: Uses only 4 very easy to get artifacts, compatible with any half-decent friar staff, big fat dex cap.

Bad things are: ML9.10 legs :/ [already have the 6.10 chestpiece], loss of rejuv (intend to get some on a shield/mace) and heat/cold resist (which could possibly be rejigged to lose some other resists/hits/qui or something).

The main aim of the template was lots of dex, if I use Tartaros with it there'll be various other dmg/style bonuses n stuff as well. Battle friar is coming to the end of its life imo so may as well make the most of it :flame:

Thoughts?

Tried to activate on Paladin with no luck (but maybe I should try again in case it changed in 1.68)

1.68 patch notes:

Crocodile's Tear Ring

- Up until now, the Crocodile's Tear Ring has been inadvertantly granted to healing classes - the NPC who creates the artifact does not include healing classes in his text dialog, but accepts the artifact pieces anyways. The classes who fall into this category are: Clerics, Friars, Healers, Shaman, Wardens, and Druids. This has led to some balance problems with some healing classes' spells combined with the level 10 ability of that artifact. Instead of removing the Crocodile Tear Ring totally from these classes, we are giving them the chance of keeping the ring, but the level 10 ability for that artifact will not be available for those classes.

- If you are a Cleric, Friar, Healer, Shaman, Warden or Druid that has already activated the Crocodile's Tears Ring and no long wish to keep it, you may return it to Scholars Shamira or Khalial in Albion, Loremistresses Margit or Vendela in Midgard, and Sages Linyive or Narvla in Hibernia. They will give the above classes a locked version of the Crocodile's Tears Ring as well as a copy of Tyrus' Epic Poem so that they may sell or trade these items. Players may only perform this return once.

Pity my end chant won't work with it, but at least I don't have to level it as far. Looks like your pally still can't activate.

Well, you can take Ammut with 2fg and he drops 2 Rings/Bracers each time, I believe - MUCH easier to get Silent Oblivion rings than Zahur's, really.
