Looking for a new graphics card.

Well, I've been out of the technological loop for quite some time now, meaning I've got only the vaguest of ideas what's good anymore.

I was wondering if one of you nice, kind people could recommend a graphics card, preferably no more than £60/70. Understandably, running games on my S3 ProSavage (yes, I know) is a little.. impossible.

I don't think you'll improve on your current card much with a £60-70 budget.

I'm not looking for the best card in the world.. And I'm afraid I'm currently pretty skint, don't have enough money to be splashing it out freely on computery parts :)

Excellent, I'll look into that right away. Thanks a lot.

Incidentally, my current graphics card is on the motherboard.. I've had problems in the past with replacing these, and I was wondering how you'd disable it first, if possible. I managed to work my way around it first time with complete luck, something that's rare with bastard computers.

So yeah, again, any help appreciated.

If it's onboard, I'd make sure you have an AGP slot, sometimes they dont put one on :( You dont wanna go splashing out on a new vid card only to find you have no where to put it.

Yep, just had a look. Indeed, there is an AGP port.

Most the time you disable the onboard graphics via the BIOS.

Was only going off shop prices :p

Like ch3tan said mr_snrub, have a look on www.ebuyer.com and find a gfx card for around your price range..

Shop prices are very awful.

Saw a Radeon 9800 pro for £430 yesterday! Still they were still selling 9500's and 9700's in this shop, unfortunetly they were also very very pricey.
