If you wanted to spend a bit more I'd build one for you. My brother is a KEF engineer and I am a nut case, together we build some tastey subs out of random bits. I have a 15" sub built into one of the compartments of my wardrobe in my room in oxford, approx 1M^3 bass box half filled with audio wadding and the sides of the wardrobe tuned to the speaker characteristics by stiffening them. The driver is an ex-studio 15" ATC jobbie (forgotten the exact model), can take 200W (do not be fooled, I drive this thing with a 1.4KW amp and it has never suffered from too much grunt) and the cone has been treated with some sticky stuff that according to my bro makes it beefier. No crossover, since my amp has one built in so just feed the sub out to my PA which drives the beast itself. It is a fucking monster!
