I am looking to make a theurgist template for my upcoming earth spec petspammer, however, I'm having trouble finding enough nice items with power cap.

To quote Bubble on what they need:
Bubble said:
A theurgist template needs -

26 Int cap
101 Int
26% spellduration
50 Power cap
+75% Power bonus

I am trying to avoid GoV as it's utmost horror to get and will only consider getting it if it's a MUST have, as in, the world will explode if you don't get it kind of priority.

Now, I'm looking for a couple of tips to go about my template, ie; should I look for power cap rogs? And if so, where do they drop? I could try farm them.

While I'm not specifically looking for a complete template, if you got one, it'll give me an angle to work on, I don't mind crafting one together myself. Keeps me occupied while I wait for my powerbar to fill up again. ;) Mind you, I'm going 48 earth with little to some air or ice, not sure which, will have to lobby a theurgist for that.

It's also just for PvE, so I really only need Melee resists and Heat resists capped, other resists are more of a moot point. This will free up a lot of hassle.

Any tips and comments are welcome. :)

why the 26 int cap?
and why even the 75 int?

pve its total useless as your only duty is to spam pets.. can save reaaaaaly lot on that one imo.

also id get dexterity to make pet spams faster, to get better pet noumber/hour...

hahahahaha

As clueless on casters as you are on tanks. =) int = more power pool.

As said above, rogs is your friend. Farm Cyrek and he give nice rogs usually.I had a templade on my animist with 73 power 2x% spell dur 8x int on ava but never finished it. It included 2 rogs, one with 14% power other with 3 power cap 11% power. Both from Cyrek.

I also feel that I need to add something to bubbles list. You NEED Jacinas Sash. 10% siphon > 5 extra int/power whatever.

Anyways, I'll throw up a list of items in a post soon, gonna find them on allakhazam first so you don't have to search yourself.

  1. There is the Lightning Etched items from Aerus.
  2. The Sandals are VERY good for a power pool pve template.
  3. Robe
  4. And more.
  1. Sun Ruby from the quest Lost in the Sands of Time
  2. Ring of Calm From ml9.
  3. Mordom's Mind
  4. Gem of Heavenly Bodies
  5. Zephyr items Nice cloak/Necklace esspecially.

The list goes on and on. :p

Search for power pool items on cm and you're often lucky.

These lists are evil to write. :( Felt like I had been going for ages, could be nice with a decent list for power pool items I guess, I'll continue next time I'm bored. =o

Btw, on that Cloak of the Zephyr, the pictures' stats differ from the listed stats. Do you happen to know the actual stats?

It should be the written. If the pic got mad toa bonuses that's because the pic is from 1.67, before the nerf.

Edit: Yeap, it's the written ones. The ss got 8% cast speed which obviously if pre nerf. :p

yup im serious :)
Less qui = harder you hit
More parry = higher defence :D
with +25% buff bonus you will easly hit the 250 cap for speed go higher and you loose dammage but dont swing faster :)

Easially? Merc? Jesus.

Say you're a highlander merc. Start with 50 quick, 10 at creation so 60. You level up to level 50 and get a template with 20 quickness. You got 80 quickness. You get a capped d/q buff. You got 173 quickness. Not even with aug quick 5 you will reach 250.

Say if you got 90 quick on template instead. Then you would end up with 70 more quickness, 243.

The more quickness you got, the more base damage you get, you slightly loose style damage but you gain more dps. No quickness is good if you kill in 1 hit, which I seriously doubt any tank still do in daoc on decent sc'ed buffed targets.

Yeah while the person with 250 qui out damages the person with base qui by 30% overtime and laughs at their fumbles, flies to hongkong then back and realises the person has just swung again. xD

You only loose damage if the weapon hits cap speed easy.Like a jambiya with 250 qui, theurg haste and celerity would lose out on A LOT of damage as they could hit cap with a 5 spd 2h probably....

I've tried 60 qui on merc for a few months in rvr, it was so poor, yeah i could hit real hard with my mainhand but then again i could do that with haste and 250 quickness just only 50 damage less yet hit 2s faster.Slowest delay weapons that your class can use with 250 quickness and believe me you will see some very good damage, go try it.

Deepflame i think quineard(cedrik) had a template that has that or near enough.

dont shoot me if off im too wrong, but if u want a pet spammer intel wont mater to much as a pet cost a % of power pool, (8% i believe) so the more power u have the longer it will take to regen. So if u want a pure pet spammer a HO may be best with the least downtime.

pet costs % of power pool, but seems to be some sort of base power pool, so int from items and %power pool makes a big difference.

Pets cost 12% of power pool according to delve, and my theurgist uses about 5-6% power per pet.

A few items you might want to Consider

Staff-
Tarts gift, the 50% power regen charge really does help loads.
Staff of Heavenly Bodies, i think it has +8power% and +7 Powercap Also 8 Acuity cap

Gem-
Gem of Heavenly bodies- +9% power and +7 Power cap.

Cloak-
Cloak of the Zephyr- 8% power and +7 power cap +5 acuity cap

Belts-
Crackling Belt Of Power - 12% power 5% power cap

Forgot about the Heavenly Bodies staff. :)

I don't ever consider belts since I think 10% siphon and 25% aoe power regen charge is MUCH better than a bit of power or a few stats.

Tartaros is nice if you manage to fit it in, I never managed on animist though, but if all your theurgists got jacinas sash you should have no problem at all with power.

I think that the percentage listed on those spells are your base powerpool, so say you were spamming earth pets with +50% to powerpool it would cost only 4% of your power.

then not 4% but 6% ( = 8*100/(100+50)% )

yeah i totaly agree, jacinas is great for a pet spammer (Specialy if more than 1 person has it)

Heres a nice item for Animists :)

Ring of Despairing Souls-
Dexterity 12
Acuity 12
Power Pool 5%
Power Pool Cap 5%
Acuity Cap 4

Drops from Manicom (Deadlands, Hib Catacombs zone)

That's quite decent. Oo

Ring of Calm is still better if you can get your hands on that, though. Inactive on avalon atm so the animist is only 41 with 6x% pp from random stuff. :p
