Is it true that they have changed loads of peoples names due to copyrights...
I heard some albs have had thier names nerfed, Geforce is now called GreenForce & and Marl Boro is now called Marl Beren.

Anyone know of any others so I can laugh at them?

Why is it only roleplayers who report names? Surely anyone with decent standards would report an offensive name. Using roleplayers as a scapegoat to this issue makes the three wise monkeys throw coconuts.

Changing names ... HAH, i laugh at that.

They should be named and shamed, eg. put in a major city in all pink clothes being unable to move and their last name changed to village idiot with i've been naughty as guildname for at least 24 hours and afterwards given the oppurtunity to choose a new name.


(and offcourse take a random item or 100'ish gold , but then again that would be considered "ewul", even though that used to be normal procedure in the various muds i played in the past)

That sounds like what we used to do with people who broke the macro rules on UO Teleport them to outside britain, then put them in a cage and put a sign up stating their offence

heh, Liste filed a complaint too against himself.... and got his name changed...

oh and regarding names, seeing a dude beeing named after a rpgame i really enjoyed, is kinda lame i reckon.. the name is trademarked after all and breaks the code of conduct, just odd that he still have it. By naming a char after a game or some other trademark, its just a question of time before it get changed by the GOAstaff, therefore, those who have done it, really aint to clever and have made the bed for themself. Easy come easy goes
