Im not going, but i think you'll find most of the clans/members due to play in the bwra3l cup this saturday will be attending i8, meaning clans will not be able to field full strength teams, or teams at all....

its a uk league so why would it be postponed for lan arena? Theres more uk clans than french ones and the french clans were allowed to postpone their games. Anyway that was the league the cup is more awkward as the entire cup can be delayed because one clan failed to play a postponed game in time. Also not many clans as such are going to i8. Moreso individuals so it effects far wider an audience :/

A few of our players are at i8 but we still got a team to play the cup, but Im sure we must have been on of the very very few clans able to play or it woukldnt have been cancelled ...would it ??

When people moan about the times and the days the league is on then they are told "You knew wot day and time it was on before you signed up" ....... does that ring any bells ?????

Just need to go with the flow i suppose if certain players/clans cant make it then the whole thing must be changed to suit......all the fecking running about for absolutely naff all, changin othe r fecking committments n stuff to make this cup for what ?? ...a feck it ...hmmmmmmm

Nobody new when the bwra3l cup was likely to be scheduled, so no preperation was or could be made till it was announced erm how many days before i8 ?? it was obviously a slight overlook on Fixers behalf, i8 has been known about for the last 6 months, so wouldnt it have been easier to work around it ?

Quite a few of the UK clans have players in there squad who also play TDM for other clans who im sure are more than likely gonna be going to i8 to compete in the tournament.

My comments were directed at the amount of clans or players affected, is it just X who cant make it ?? or are most of the clans affected ?? these questions still not answered !!!

My moaning was about myself and other people cancelling work or other stuff to be in a cup that was postponed and most people didnt find out until the day it was supposed to be on !!!!!!!

So does that mean that we can shout for the next cup to be postponed if we cant field a team due to lan events in scotland or wherever ? or because theres an International football game or something on ?? or does the whole world stop for i8 ???

there are still a majority of clan who can field a team..

Firstly the bwra3l was suspended on the weekend of the Fench Lan-Arena.
Secondly Fix did ask clans if they were going to have problems with the cup starting on this particular weekend due to i8, initially there was only one clan that said they would have problems and one other clan that wouldn't be able to play due to other reasons. At this point it was thought with just 2 clans missing it could be worked around with a little messing with the groups, however as the event draws nearer (the thursday evening before i8) it is indicated by several more clans that i8 was going to cause them problems in getting a team for the first round of the bwra3l cup.
If one clan is missing from a group it means they miss 3 games, due to this and the number of clans likely to be affected it would have been impractical to try to fit all these postponed games into the timetable for the group stages of the cup, and it didnt seem a good thing for the cup to have so many defaults in the first week it was decided that the best thing to do was to suspend the cup until the following weekend.
Maybe you guys that are moaning about it enjoy winning games by default as that's the impression you seem to give, however I think most clans enjoying actually playing .
And as for the short notice yes its a pain. just as much for the competing clans as the people who organise\admin the games, unfortunatley however its completely out of the control of anyone running the league.

I fink Oggie has answered everything i wanted to know, Im just a moaning sod, not because i want defaults tho, because last saturday was organised for the cup, people made arrangements, then it was cancelled i come in after 2 or 10 beers to find out its been portponed and let off steam about it !!! did i mention i was a moaning sod ? (me makes mental note to stay away from forums when drunk)
