Anyone using these?

Got mine the other day, had it working fine under XP with the driver cd.
Run Dungeon Siege, thats fine, no problems.
Run Jedi Knight 2, as soon as i move the mouse the game hangs, if i'm lucky i can ctrl-alt-del and close it, but usually itkills the machine forcing a reboot. The keyboard seems fine, can walk about etc, but it really doesnt like the mouse :/

Got all the latest drivers for the desktop, the game etc...

Any ideas?

You could uninstall the driver CD and see if that helps.

Though I'd expect it to be a known problem if the CD caused that.

It runs fine if i just bang in my old intellimouse explorer.
None of it works without the cd.

I guess its the problem with having new stuff, waiting for patches and updates to fix issues ://

Hi d0nkeh

I'm sure you may have thought of this already, but just in case, have you tried checking the drivers available on Logitech's website? Sometimes the drivers on the CD become dated very quickly, so it may be worth a try.

I also checked Jedi Knight II for patches, but there has't been one since v1.03 which, as far as I know, didn't fix any bugs like you describe.

Good luck

Yea, i have them, but looking at the website, they haven't been updated since last year!
Didnt think it was even that old.
Never mind!

Do you mean the Logitech MX700?

I have one, running on XP-Home, and I've had no issues at all with Jedi Knight or any game.

The provided drivers - 9.70 do have a bug with the scroll buttons (I refuse to call them "cruise control") in Mozilla - you can scroll up but not down. However, the 9.76 from the Logitech website have fixed this and I have to say I find it to be absolutely l33t.

I was running JKII 1.03 as well. Which USB port are you in?

This will seem odd, but one bug I used ot have was that if I tried printing something (USB Printer) the mouse would die and have to be unplugged and plugged back in again. However, I moved it into the USB hub on my monitor and it's been fine. If you have a hub maybe trying that might help out? Or try it through the PS/2 adapter? Even just to see if it solves the problem.

I hope that helps.

Unload the taskbar program that programs the extra buttons and try it then.
