Login Problems

Why is the login screen telling me my account and password is incorrect after the patch?

I've checked my account and its fine.

Any ideas?

You've probably downloaded US patch 1.60 due to buggy patch servers. What you need to do is reinstall SI (assuming you're using SI) and repatch.

no need to reinstall, go to ur camelot folder and edit update.dat, replace its content by the following:

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat


it will repatch to EU version

save that in a txt or just switch ur update.dat as read-only file in order to avoid futher inconveniences

You were right about the connection to US server, I was on 1.60b.

Changed the file, it downloaded another patch - then wouldnt connect past the load screen.

Tried again - got US patch again.

Didnt know we were due a patch over here today anyway.

Should I reinstall?

It could be to do with BTO if they are the fools you decided to pay money to in return for a decent ISP

Changed that .dat file and its repatching now.. looking good so far
