Log in, log out syndrome...

Lately I've been suffering from the 'log in, log out syndrome'.

I log in, run around for 5/10 minutes and then I log out (usually after I've found an unusually cool place to log out ofc :p ). I do this about 50 times a night before logging out a final time and going to bed.

Am I the only one suffering from this?

:eek6:

It is natural, the appeal of the game is dying for many people who have played since beta. Once the novelty of ToA wore off alot of people found there was nothing worth staying ingame for, Frontiers might reverse the trend but I doubt it to be honsest. 2+ years is a long time to play one game and many long term players will and have gradually left, ToA has made it even harder for new players to get established which will hurt the game in the long run because there will be no new blood to replace those who have gone. Frontiers will have to be something special to help DAoC last another year, even that won't fix the problem of new players being alienated by such an intense grind just to compete.

What has it got to do with people who have played since beta? Sounds a bit elitist.

I have been playing since November 2002 and I normally manage 30 mins before I log off and watch tv instead. If the cricket / champions league wasn't on I might get addicted to anything! Changing rooms or something!

Sounds like burn out to me. Cancel your sub, go and do something else and come back re-inviggorated in a few months.

Can play classic&SI just fine. Just that TOA zones on Pryd/Mid are unplayable when theres over 100 mids online. That narrows toa playtime for me to GMT hours 0:00->13:00 or so... just too bad that I sleep and go to school that period so .... :kissit:

Good thing to try and get a arty hunt going on that needs a fg. :twak:

I went through a phase of logging in my Druid and if there wasn't a group logging an alt in, if that alt didn't get a group, logged another etc. Yes I am an impatient git lol

Now I got my BD on Camlann no-one wants to group with you anyway (they suspect some stupid rumour like every 50 BD can kill a fg of other 50s without breaking sweat) so I just solo. Played since beta and grouping/lfg sends etc. got as dull as soloing in any case. I suspect I level slightly slower but at least I get to go afk as much as I like and I get to explore new obscure areas in the realms to xp in which has been fun too.

It's not the length of time you play the game that creates boredom for me as a player it's not varying the activities you do whilst online that can create a sense of boredom and repetition. Still enjoying the game after all these years but I've got the feeling this *might* be my last 50.

(But then again I said that about the last 3 lol)

Thats exactly what I did :)

I spent a while just playing a few single player games, then checked out a few MMORPG's then came back to DAoC and really enjoying it again :)
