locking a computer

how can i lock my pc so that the apps still run and do their thing, but so that nobody can use it? im thinking the easiest way is to put a password on the screensaver and set the screensaver to 1minute or summat.

the reason im asking is cuz my sister is fucking about with my pc... sending emails from my address, deleting icons, all this bollocks on my computer i dont want. yada yada.

any hmm the reason is longer than my question :/

so are there any better methods of 'locking' my pc while im out?

In XP, disable Fast User switching and press Win+L. Presto, computer locked

This also works in 2000, but you don't have to disable anything. It'll hold that password prompt there til you return.
