I'm getting sick of this game tbh, we've got unbalance in all realms in area's, bugs that never get fixed i.e trade/group/graphics (tho /vidreset) is meant to work, customers who are NEVER listend to, deleted chars which can 'aparently' not be restored and no justice is done and now of all things, their raising the price to play the game.

Obviousely Mythic realise that certain bugs will make people stay playing till they get fixed, or adding new features and updates, obviousely people wana stay and play to see what their like, we're gamers.

I think GOA need to make more effort to satisfy their gamers, backing up chars would be a start, people put ALOT of their time and charactor into a charactor, it becomes their personal toy, people who want to delete these... well nothing that can be said tbh, they just need to find a new hobby to do between wanking and reading porn instead of hacking.

To GOA: Obviousely im pissed at you lot,cos your the first who comes to blame, but also I dont understand so please tell me..

Is there no way to backup chars?

Is there no way you can track the ip's connecting to your server? more importantly logging into an account?

When will that router thingy get fixed, that downloads the american patch forcing you to completely reinstall Shrouded Isles?

Loch was a great cleric, its not like the char was ever inactive she was always sodding about in emain healing and stuff :(. You MUST have somekind of backup. I know usualy the problem you have is like, if we replace this persons account then we have to do all of them that get screwed up, change the streak and start helping people out, its totally obivouse Loch wouldn't delete ALL of her chars after the amount of time she spent lvling them, tho if say 1 char was deleted maybe thats an accident.

I should remind GOA, you replaced a friends of mine char, Mrt, his cousin deleted it, but you guys managed to replace it.. surely you cando the same? :(.

They could easily enough create a lvl 50 cleric and let Loch go from there. They did it for someone a long time ago (Pyrotechnic mebbe?) and it could be done again.

Tbh in cases like this they should do it too.

One of the best regarded and liked players has had their account stuffed. Its not inappropriate in any way.

It really doesn't help if the person gets quoted 6 times over :)

Well just plainly giving her a new lvl 50 with no iteam, no rps etc is kinda crap. I know i wouldent keep playing if that happend to me. Would feel kinda crap to go from rr7 to rr1

Well it's better than having to lvl all the way to 50 again..

lol if she get her char back to 50 with nothing no rps etc i dont think she ill want to play anymore.

For anyone who's looking at this now rather disjointed thread and trying to figure out what is going on, newb_wannabe posted some pointless nastiness suggesting this this thread shouldn't be here and got <cough> strong responses from several people, including myself. Some of the posts are removed and some just don't mean much now out of context.

But Lochy can safely assume a lot of support from pretty much the entire community. At least, those with IQs in double figures or higher, eh Brinx ;)

if Loch wanted to she could easily lvl a new 50 char in a day or two, with SOTL's help no doubt this could be done easily.

This isnt the point i would guess, its the RR, Items, Gold, etc... and principal of the matter !

Sorry for your loss loch. :( hope GOA can do something for you,

p.s. have a password for all user accounts on pc, disable Guest account!, have a firewall, have antivirus software, disable unused ports {telnet/web hosting etc..}, dont store passwords on hdd, if poss. keep away from MIRC/ICQ, obviously dont give out pwd... and for the real insecure get an IDS ;)

At the end of the day though if someone REALLY wants to get into your pc the only way to stop them is unplugging the internet connection, however these people wouldnt even want to bother with your PC, do the basics to keep out the script kiddies.

It was said in another thread about this that Loch gave her pass to numerous other people. Not GoA's problem now. Its not good that her char's have been deleted and i feel for Lochy but, this kinda thing happens when you let others use your account.

walkerb I am all for "innocent til proven guilty" and I have my doubts regarding the people claiming loch shared her/his account, BUT I haven't seen loch denying it yet, not in any of the threads

I dont read BW forums that often because its full of shite, so i dont know who Sarnat is. But.... if you say you didnt give out your password to someone then no-one knows better than you. Hope you can sort it out if its sort outable.
