Anyone know how locations work?

I often see people giving their location as xxxx, yyyyy and others manage to find them! How they do that?

Each zone (Say Vale of Mularn, or Gotar) works on an x, y, z co-ordinates system, with 0,0,0 being sea level in the very top left (north-west) of the zone, and 64000,64000,0 being sea level in the very bottom right (South-east) of the zone.

So 64000,32000,0 would be sea level midway in the zone on the extreme right hand side (or east).

The third figure pertains to altitude above (or below) sea level, so if it says 0,0,12000 you're on top of a very high mountain at the very northwest of the zone :)

Each step you take changes those figures by a 100 or so, so generally you round it up to the nearest thousand (so rather than 24352,18969,5 you'd give 24000,19000,5).
