what's harsh about it ?? good luck to 'em I say... this place needs more of those kind of shops... if the druggies coming outta rehab go straight there for a spliff, then the peeps in the rehab clinic obviously haven't done their jobs properly have they...

I am of the opinion that someone leaving a rehab shouldn't be confronted with a coffeeshop's wide open door. even here in holland, the land of uber-tolerance, they don't do that.

I thought in Holland the *cough* "coffeeshop" *cough* and the rehab centre were actually considered the same thing

Point taken TDC, however, rehab centres are supposed to be exactly that... there to rehabilitate people, kick the habit etc... everyone can get drugs in the UK within minutes... the coffee shop idea is just giving them somewhere safe to go & enjoy it... also, they're not selling H or C or E (i presume) so no harm done...
