So me and my mate are considering going to live in 0.0 space. We have found a corp that would fit us and who will take us, who belong to one of the larger alliances.

However, what is there to do when not PvPing? How does soverignity work? Does each corp have their own system etc?

When not PvPing- do anomalies, complexes, belt-ratting, wormholes, trade stuff, mining, exploration, help corp/alliance or just spin ship in station and chat with corp/alliance guys

Sovereignty guide - EVElopedia - The EVE Online Wiki

Corp systems depend entirely on the alliance. Some alliances have all the systems under a holding corp and others delegate to the various corps in the alliance

Ask your corp about alliance policy, there's probably some local "home rules" of what is fair game and what is off-bounds when it comes to anomalies, plexing and ratting.

most alliances operate a first come, first served policy within limits.

Military upgrades (which give you better anomalies etc) cost isk to run so if you're hoovering some fella's sanctums up whilst he's paying for the upkeep of the system you probably will get asked to gtfo.

What I would do is get yourself settled first. Look for systems with no sov and probe for plexes/anomalies there until you're all settled in then go hunting for a nice bearhole to generate iskies in between ops.

If you don't mind telling me who you joined (feel free to pm if you want to keep it hush hush) I'll see what I can find out about local space for you and who roams where etc etc.

oh final rule of 0.0. Only keep what you need there, so a few hacs maybe and the odd ratting ship. Try and keep your fleet of shiny stuff in NPC 0.0 or the low sec system that your corp/alliance run logistics out of. Then you don't lose absolutely everything should the sky fall in and you get invaded / lose access to your home station.

Also if you are in fairly hostile waters, log off in friendly poses every evening when you're done playing. That way you're not trapped in station should you log in and find your home hostile.
