just need to sign the dotted line. Wonder if he'll play more than 6 mins for us o_O

I remember watching him in the world cup, he was class for Argentina.

He needs to play in a decent team, and he will show his true class.

Thing is Liverpool have Gerrard, Sissoko and Alonso in that position, so not sure why you need him.

Thing that would worry me is if he is this great world class player he should have walked into the West Ham team and made them all look bad. But he played and looked ordinary. It makes me wonder is he really all that good or dose he get carried for Argentina?

It is difficult to judge him, I always give the foreign players a bit of grace before judging them. Players that play for Argentina are not bad players :)

However I have reservations about his position in Liverpools team, I see him as no more than a fringe player being used to rest the first team.

Gonna get like Chelsea trying to play 4 centre midfielders in 2 players positions

Benitez prefers to play Gerrard on the right, its only through injurys that hes been playing in the centre - though it is his preferred position, so you can discount that. Also I have a feeling that he'll probably go back to a rotational system now that our injured players are coming back.

Sissoko is a very defensive mf, alonso is kind of half way def and att, and mash is more attacking minded from what i remember so it provides different option for different games. Also it increases competetiveness for starting XI places which is always good, at the moment there is no competition for those places.

Mash is a defensive midfielder, he was the guy breaking up all the attacks before they got to the line of defence. I think Liverpool's early season form of losing is because Gerard was playing on the right. It is no coincidence that Liverpool's turn in form started from Gerard being moved into the centre.

Sorry m8 have to disagree.

Maschareno is a defensive midfielder.

Play Gerrard on the right and he won't stick around for long, you played piss poor earlier in the season with him in that position. Also Pennant has been playing a lot better, and he plays on the right.

I agree with the rotation, but having 4 very good central midfielders will cause problems.

have to admit i couldn't reemember his position very well

i think sissoko's long injury might have made the management think that we need cover for certain positions. sissoko is still a few weeks from full fitness, though he is expected to be on the bench at the weekend i think

Hahaha, I remember when him and Tevez used to play for Corinthians, they where bottom of the Brazilian league and got beaten 43-0 by their B team, then they got a new manager who sold all the Argentinians, and now they are half way up the table. Now look at West Ham, Liverpool should only sign him if they want to sink as well. xD

Masherano, Luis Garcia, Alonso, Sissoko and Gerrard. Wow! Best set of central midfielders after Chelseas. Cmon Liverpool, loan us Sissoko seein as though you nicked him from under our noses

I was at Tyncastle for the boxing day game vs Hibs the rumors were flying then that Gordon to Arsenal for 5 million was a done deal only sticking point Gordon will not play as a number 2 so i could not see it happening.

I agree but would be wierd timing as todays newsletter from Wenger has him saying Almunia is his favorite for Number 1 when Lemon leaves.

Got to love the rumours on BBC 606

This is a cracker from GuruAleew. Fernando Torres is still driving around north London. It is a wonderful image and bearing in mind he was seen two hours ago in a car in Islington you've got to start thinking that his driver must be lost.

The sign posts are clear enough from Highbury to the Emirates!

he's a good player, young and talented. But IMO not a player liverpool needs.. with Alonso, Gerrard (and sissoko)

he will only sit on the bench :x
