Little question about resists

Well like everybody im making my template but I wonder what resists arent THAT important to skalds.

if i look to other templates of skalds, most dont put alot of resist into spirit...

so my question is: Which resists arent that important :drink:

well as most groups run with a shammy i guess you could go with lower than 20 heat resists... :p

Check what your racial resist are, the +26% cap starts from those so you can still get 26% resist in... for example 26% energy with a Kobold, but only have 21% energy resist on your setup.

After that i'd go for the 3 Shammy resist buffs, no groups even leave the PK w/o a Shaman with atleast End4 these days (which usually means they have atleast blue resists) - so you could afford you let those slip.

As a final last resort you could find out what type of melee dmg your armour is resistant too and let that drop, but imo your crazy if you don't cap your melee resists in these days of Dark Age of Tankalot.


In all honesty though i'd try and find a template that allows you to cap your resists, check the VN boards if you havn't already there are usually 3/4 templates for various tanks capping most if not everything you'll need.

Bear in mind though that ToA bonuses were designed with the idea that you wouldn't be able to cap everything. Also don't forget that you'll need to level any Artifacts you add into your template.

you don't need any spirit resists at all. They just aren't important.

Thought spirit resist wasn't important either but was rvr'ing a bit few days ago with some artifacts so my spirit resist was low.. and damn those theurgists nuked hard, died in seconds. Wouldn't recommend to go with low spirit resist..

Though for albs/hibs spirit resist is totally useless, dont put it on your templates imo :p

yea coz then u sm can pbaoe the hell out of em?? :D
and bout theur not that many air theur as most go ice/earth.
