Morning guys :D

A friend of mine is having trouble with the above router, and I thought I would ask the mighty ones of BW for some help.

Basically, he is trying to setup terminal services to his box at home, through the router. As far as I can tell, this is all set up properly, but he is unable to connect externally to his Server.

he has 3-donkey running on the server, which gets out fine.

Port 3389 is open and re-directed to the server, and SPI is off.

Any help/ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated.

It's not about getting out, it's about getting in. I'd suggest he runs an FTP server on the box he's trying to get through too & sees if that can be accessed externally as well. If it can't then he obviously has something blocking it (either router not letting anything through/misdirecting or maybe a firewall on the server PC [built in XP one maybe]).

I naver thought of the XP firewall, I'll check with him, not sure if the server is XP or not.

As you say, problem is def incoming traffic.

hmm, double post, nm

Checked, he has no firewall running on the server

win2k advanced server machine.

TS works fine internally (lan)

/edit: anyone got anymore ideas?
