Lil Help on Running BB acc on same PC

Got my PC running stable nw and nvr noticed it lag ever.

Though when i try run buffbot acc it gets abit unstable and i can hear HDD
working harder than usual.

AMD64 3500+
1GB PC3200
Geforce 4600 Ti4600 128mb GFX
Abit Mobo

What would be suggested to run a BB acc and Not lag when on my char fighting zergs?

I have orderd another 1GB PC3200 from aria for 90euro anything else id need to change? i have 200Euro's to spend

i have a lot slower machine and i have no problem with logging in 2 accounts, running mirc, torrent etc in the background.. :>

check drivers and settings imo.

dont use DR and ull be fine my system is more or less the same but with the 2 gig of ram (which uve now ordered)

If RAM isn't available, it'll use a pagefile on your hard drive (2 x DAOC alone will use more than 1 gig of physical memory). If your hard drive is slow, it'll slow everything down.

Solution; 2gig ram.
Better solution; 2 gig ram + hyperthreading CPU.

2x toa clients, bb on /clientsleep background, /effects none on bb ;p

setting CPU priority to background usually fixes LD issues, and if you still cant /stick...the ctr+alt+del and set the priority on the one you wish to /stick to "abovenormal" in the process list.

Im running a similar setup as you, and that 1gig extra would do something, but you can run 2x windowed perfect now, and also 1x full scree and 1x windowed too..

for 200 euros' you could get a x850 or x800 agp card, or pci-e counterpart if you're mobo is capable

They are.. however not for dual logging. HT is great for that, which a P4 has, and the AMD hasn't.

i have 768 crappy ram... can run both cata clients at 1152x.... maxxed gfx on both and cata models. no laggy. tho cant do it on dr client. that hugs alot of my comp power.

Well i'm only going on what i've read from other sorces, as the last single core amd i used was a fx-53, which .... surprisingly had no problems running two accounts quite easily

its all about what u do
if u want to dual log in RvR and fight in big zergs there not much to do if u not rich as hell, a better idea would be to buy a cheap used second pc to run bb account at, that will be cheaper then upgrading main pc.

If u just want to dual log for pve any crap pc will work if u use toa client and /clientsleep

You should not have no problem dual-logging 2 cata/toa cilents in NF/Zergs or Catacombs. I can do this on a 1.4 ghz, 1 gb ram computer.

However, DR eventually takes like 2 gb ram and i would only recommend DR cilent for DR activity.

Just create 2 game folders - one going up to toa/catacombs and the other for DR. Run the toa/catas for RvR and the DR for DR activity.

Works a treat for me and will mean you can last longer in RvR since DR likes to eat cpu usage (or whatever you call it) or so ive found.
