Life Starts At Fifty?

I need some reassurance.

Suddenly, half way threw yet another Fin it dawned on me…

“What is Life Like After 50?”

What am I going to do when I reach level 50? My seemingly endless quest/goal/trial to reach the Grand Master flash of levels is drawing closer and closer! And I’m sad about this…I think?

How I imagine level 50:

Lots of RvR
Killing the dragon in the epic zone (I’ve never seen it but I hear its pretty fantastic)
Alts (which to me sounds like the trial all over again)

What else is there, am I to resort to a life of monotony…more so than levelling. Or have I missed something here?

In closing I would like to address one or two things..

Nightshades, rangers you have it lucky! 50 should be something very special for you it is all too easy for bards, druid’s wardens to attain this.

And please, if anyone wants to pl me I really wanna finish this level ;)

Yours in distress

Hmm dunno about druids and bards, but as a warden you need a group. That means you're pretty much left to primetime for xp'ing, coz at other times there's hardly enough people around the same level that you can group with. Without a group, warden gets 0 xp.

As for what to do after lvl 50: Here's what I generally do:
- Kill invaders
- Invade other realms' frontiers
- Uber mob raids (dragon, legion, princes, etc)
- Keeptaking
- Relic raiding
- Money farming for crafters, or just for new dyes/better items(;
- RPS farming for RA
- Helping lowbies (buffing, sticking around parth farm to watch over em, etc)
- Leveling alts
- Organising raids/xp groups/drop groups just for the fun of it (means you should take people with you who know how to have fun instead of whine about drops/xp/money/etc)
- Chat ( ;

Not Wanting to Miss A Good Plug For My Guild

To relive this monotony i have a guild, which is activly recruiting :D

It is after alot of changes set up properly to prevent Alliance chat falling into the wrong hands, and will in the future be looking to join one of the bigger alliances. But in order to do this we have to increase our active member base.

Or more importantly being able to have an amount of people able to RvR on a regular basis! Commanly known as addicts, of which we have a few!

Please ignore this if you are already guilded happily, we are not looking to poach members, but if you wish to join a friendly guild in its infancy please post below or contact me in game. Any help/alliance offers from other guilds would be gratfully and willingly accepted.

My biggest bug bear is guild only events! We are an all inclusive guild in all our events and this is a trend i would like other larger guilds to follow! Allas there is alot of eliteism in Hibernia, none so In Cu Chulainn.

Thankyou for your time.

(can also contact Maquoist, Magnuz or Lianach for further infomation)

**Takes a deep breath and hopes he gets some response to either posts**

Lots more to be sure! here are some sugestions:

* Do your epic quest. Help your m8s do it.
* Hunt down epic mobs for those special drops.
* Help guildies exp and do their epics and receive great respect and admiration
* Farm gold for keep doors, future housing, future spellcrafting to get uber equipment
* Write a class guide. Share your knowledge.
* Make a list and be sure to hunt down every epic mob ( yes dragon included )
* Visit those fun to play places. See if you can get really deep into ez.
* Map CF with Bedroc :)
* Respec in 1.53 for even better RvR
* Shrouded Isles is bound to have places meant for lvl 48+. Be the first to see them. Try to find out if they have drops useful for you! Help guildies exp at the same time.
* Lead or help lead relic raids or epic mob raids.
* The new frontier dungeon!! THis is bound to rock! Generated drops and open to all realms. Intense fun with the constant risk of getting invader encounters! Deep down the drops are bound to rock even for lvl 50! A bit like itemhunting in Diablo if done right! Will be even better when we get bind stone in DL.
* Craft. collect money. then be first one on the server to get 500 in spellcrafting or alchemy.

I find helping other people to get to 50 seems to be a lot more satisfying and a lot less boring (as you aren't staring at an xp bar while you do it) than working through your own last 10 bubs. Also helping with epics is quite satisfying too.

Oh, and of course there's the rvr, and perhaps best of all the 16 ish g express ticket from anywhere in hib to your bind point. ;)

since when? where?

Yea.. everyone heard that "If u pick warden u get groups easy" or something like that.. well, what happens? Alot of ppl choose that class then, so if u asked a group if u could join, they would answer like "sorry, we allready got 3 wardens(bards, druids)"

I just have to say that i got my minstrel to 37 faster than i got warden to 30.

Thank you for your kind offer Heraldi. I appreciated the time the group spent waiting for the Faerie Court last night, but I soon realised that there was no way the group could sit there for hours. If I can get a few more people in the group who need to do the lvl 43 part of that epic, there would be more incentive to spend the time needed. So .. if anyone else needs to get the Faerie Court, let me know, and we'll try to get a group together.

I have been 46 for around 4 weeks now. I was in Innis the other day, hoping to get a group, and of the 6 people standing around, 4 were bards. If I am lucky enough to get a group, I am often the highest level, and killing pooks for hours hardly moves my xp bar at all.

At least low level alts are fun.

Hehe the irony, there were prolly 4 grps (maybe exageration:p ) standin at dl waitin for a bard at that exact time.
And yes, gettin a lot of people who are doin quest is best way to finish the parts without people gettin too annoyed about waits. Took me and 4 others a whole day to get from cron up to epic armour, but we all stuck at it cos we needed it, only havin to replace the 3 helpers at a few points along the way.
p.s. if i'm on and free i'm always willin to help with epics.

How to say this without hurting any feelings...

For example :

In the same fins group we were talking about Play'd time..

lvl 41 bard = 6 days

My mates shade unluckly not in the fins group as not percieved to be needed

lvl 42 = 16days

Ok this is only one example, but im sure the theory would pan out. Surly there is some support out there for what i am saying?!

Yours Llixeraxu

Also i am offen without bards/druids/wardens me being a champion and would be more than happy to be able to call upon your services as a bard (keri?) Unfortunatly i belive you would be busy.

feed me pies and beer!

50 - boring, erm....no....lack of drive to have to do anything anymore? erm...yes :) dont confuse the two - lack of direction is not lack of fun ;)

Another drunken gem of wisdom....or total bollocks :)

Got to admit, when I made my bard, it was damn easy to lvl. I got to lvl45 with 10 days playtime with mine and then to lvl50 with 30days playtime... been doing lots of rvr and crafting :)

My NS playtime... lvl1-40 was 9 days playtime, now at lvl42 its almost 13 days playtime... lvl40+ sucks for shades

Hero playtime... lvl1-39... 6days atm

Due to the amout of warden's and bard around now, they arent so easy to lvl anymore I think as they used to be... especially for lvl40-50. Seems to be a severe lack of lvl40-50 pbaoers & shield tanks atm...

Back to the orgional post....

At 50, I've been doing mainly RvR, helping others lvl or do quests or epics etc, going on raids & drop hunts...

Hehe, saw your name up the top and just knew you would post here ebonn. ;)
I may have taken a long time to get to 50 but as far as i know you took the longest. I think you should get an award as the most patient guy in hib. I almost gave up when i took as long as i did don't know how you stuck it out. Grats m8. :D

(although i did next to no crafting when i got bored on my second go and didn't do much rvr as i got tired of one shot kills by pretty much anythin out there) :p

At lvl 50....mmmm...time to really waste you're time and do completely useless things without having to worry about the xp. You can be in "bad" xp groups just for fun and stay with m8s without worry that the xp is crap.

And ofcourse the usual emain RP pharming witch get kinda boring after a while, but loadsa fun the first weeks. (Can't understand why Elesias still find it fun to roam around in emain) :p

If you're a mage, roll a tank, if yo're a tank roll a mage etc. Try out the different classes, it's alot to learn and experience, rerolling also makes you get new friends. This game is basicly about communication imo witch you will understand better when you hit 50.

There is also basicly 2 different personaleties at 50: 1.RP pharming to get as much RPs as possible to get high on ranking and loadsa RAs. 2.Those who play for fun, and can sit in tnb for many hours and just speak to peeps, help m8s lvl, jump around in mm naked pretend to be a chicken, make smileys outa dropping weaponds at ground etc :D

Work is my lvlin prob.. Can stay in a exp grp long enuff ( and at 40+ it takes 1hr most times to gather a grp) and weekends can be spoilt by double relic raidsa and a legion raid ;)

Not getting asked much these days for grps either except a couple where i've not had the time :(

Druid's easy pft. ( altho i sympathise (sp?) with stalkers.. 52 days  :puke: )
