how can there be so much bitching and arguing over a bard that mezzed a couple of albs........

very simple Gwal a Bard won (with Castable Mezzz (Castable mezz is silver insta is Gold)) from a sorcerer, yet people keep complaining about overpowered insta mezz although its NOT Used (Since it is up). Cause some albs seem to think bards can only win with insta mezz ...

seeing as albs dont have a cheesy insta mezz..and i dont play bard..i dont recognize the symbols..

It would explain why some albs moan constantly about insta mezz, as they don't know the symbols they put every mezz they loose down to insta...

didnt the bard in question told the forum he insta-ed the leader (prolly the sorc) and then casted the subsequent mezz?

If you took the time to see who i was targetting you would see i was targetting the wizard at the front who was driving. Also to the people who said haha free RP etc, my fg just got zerged by Blackfalcons+AD+Stealth adds and at end i just decided to run off rather than into them.

You would really have to play a bard to see what they are faced with in a mez war, sorcs usually cast alot faster and have alot more range.

Quick disclaimer, we got zerged but not by these groups. We ran into a fg of bf and a fg of gol who were on the way to take dc earlier and fought ad near amg (just down the hill) and got a few adds as u xpect and can't be helped.

I thought it was very funny, even funnier being there, yes I was one of the clerics. The Bard did well, a quick insta mezz for the sorc them mezz the group as they ran in. I'm glad I have a copy of the screen dump now.

If it was a couple of Friars who ran in and melee'd the bard to death would you say they should have healed instead?

The amount of healing a smite cleric can give compared with the amount of damage a bard can put out is a joke. On the other hand could stun and smite him to death by the time your group comes round, problem solved.

Theres always times for healing and I dont know many smite clerics that dont offer heals to those in need, theres also times for buffing and smiting.

So a solo smite cleric in RvR still isn't allowed to smite? under what conditions will this finally be allowable?

Actually i didnt accuse vivi, i said that its basically impossible to beat sorcs using radar as every advantage thye have comes into play, and if they are half competent u have to sprint holding the insta down to have a chance, and if they have CB up, or ur speedwarped, ur still screwed.

just spam insta then since you get it back if it gets CBed?

but the grass is always greener on the other side it seems. but personally i always think the grass is greener on my side cause the healers i play with never lose mezz nor do the sorcs i play with.

You must lose mez sometimes, if u dont theres something wrong there :O, particularly when fighting 3+ guild grps at once. also i remember my sorc back in the old days when i played alb beat u in a mez war quite alot of times (Azurat).
