Here's an unusual one for you boffins......

Windows 98se.

I ran a dos prog on my system and had to change the date in the program. This changes the system date too so when I finish I have to reset the date. This is normally not a problem and I have run this prog on this and many other systems before with no problems.

But.....

This time I can't change my date or time in Windows and it's stuck in june 8 2000. :(

I can change the month and year - the day won't change - but when i click apply and go and check, it reverts back to the same date. I have tried to change it in dos to no avail so....any ideas?

Thx

Well, (you won't believe me) I thought, as I typed that :

"I wonder if it'll change in the BIOS?"

So after reading your post I went and did it and, of course, it worked. (Thx)

But you see, it's just not enough. I need to know why. I can't help it. I can only grow by learning. If i didn't do that I'd still be wiping my arse with my hand (I still do but now it's by choice).

So Master Will, indulge a callow youth (mmm right) and explain all.

Ta.

Don't have a clue. I'd blame Windows for being like that.

Maybe someone else can shed more light, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I think the program which changed your date isn't closing down properly.
