Lethargy in Camelot

Well dont know about anyone else, but i have noticed a large amount of lethargy in the game at the moment. Many of the old faces i have xp'd with have taken long holidays from the game,
trying to mtivate people to retake keeps or raid the enemy is like drawing teeth.

Was just wondering, what in your opinion would inspire people to get enthused again. How could the game go that little bit extra, or is this the end for the game, people slowly leaving to find pastures new.

Cheers

Co op server. (I know it would enthuse a lot of my friends who are bored of RvR and would like to explore the 3rd realm in English, at least).

But at the end of the day, having played over a year in a game is a long time. I've noticed a lot of been-there done-that also. Maybe the upcoming expansions will help, but what the realms really need is new blood ...

This is my greatest fear. After over a year in the game I feel I have character i want to take to 50 and am getting there slowly. I'm worried that when I get there that the interest will have disappeared from the people already at 50 and that I will never experience a Sidi Raid, Dragon killing etc

Dragon killing will be very FotMish after the patch;).

Myself I am moving round the realms playing new characters in pve while waiting for something new to be released. After a year I've done everything there is to do in daoc and just don't enjoy the rvr anywhere near as much as I'd hoped when I started playing last February.

Maybe Planetside will serve my purpose more.

I've been levelling a character on US Shadowbane. Much faster levelling than DAOC and the premise of an end game that consists of something else other than running around killing the same people (or being killed) in the same pointless way.

Or of course, a break from the repetitive killing of mobs who all look the same.

DAOC is a great game, and I've met a lot of smashing people in the time I've played it, but the end game is -very- lacking and as others have said, a year is a long time to play one game.
