I have decided I will not be swearing, eating crisps or take aways for the duration. I am also going to get fit again

i dont give a moneys about Lent, i cant see the point of excluding something from your diet for 1 day or 1 month whatever it supposed to be.

is this some sort of religous thing? oh so its FOTM enough to jump on the bandwagon and pat yourself on the back for how well you've done but after a few days its over and thats your religous deed done for the year.

for me its as stupid as vegetarians who say "yeah im vegetarian but i eat fish"

Religion is the single most destructive, emotive, pointless thing about being a human...

All it does is create arguments and leave all of those in the middle, just gettin on with their lives, labelled and sectioned by the religious...

Not one single religion on this planet can be proven or disproven 100% so why the f*ck do we have such amazing wars over it.

It was said best in Dogma - No-ones got it right yet. Religion is a belief. People will kill and die for something they believe in. In essence, it's just an idea and if it had stayed that then people would be open to suggestion and maybe even one day someone might get it right...

but we'll never know

Well.. im not religious... but i have faith... i think one of the also profound statment in dogma is something along the lines of...

"No denomination has got it right yet because they haven't learned that it doesn't matter what they have faith in, just that they have faith."

Its a personal choice, i accept people from all religions, they believe in something which is essentially the same as me... that there is life after death.

Its all to do with faith, these peopl who argue about it have missed the point... which isnt MY RELIGION IS CORRECT its... hope... the thought that when you die... the big grand ending to all life as we know it... just the possibility that after that point... there may be something else.

Now.. Jehovahs Witnesses... (sp?) make me giggle... but they are lovely people.

Go back to the beggining - what was here before time (some thing man invented)? What was here before this galaxy formed? Before the sun was even formed?

Whatever or Whoever runs this show was there from the very beggining. They didn't just appear cos man needed faith - man created gods image and stories, his achievements and words, because they needed something to believe, something to understand.

We have no idea why we are here. We have no idea what, if anything, we are here for. All we can base our beliefs and out knowledge on is the past which, although educational and thought provoking, cannot be disproved so long after the supposed event.

In my view, Jesus was a carpenter who made a quick buck as a magician/illusionist. He had the gift of the gab and spoke his mind and there you have it. Maybe the same goes for Mohammed? We don't know and we never will...

Whatever the answer is, it's way bigger than any of us can possibly concieve, so lets stop f*ckin arguing about it and all sit down for some pie and a zoot

does it matter what was there before that? the only reason we cant comprehend nothing is because we arnt capable of it imo. there is no way to prove either what was here before. we can say for a fact - what made life was chemicals. in particular carbon and hydrogen.

just to add this. our brain cant even comprehend the light has bent when we look in a mirror. we know it does bend but the brain will not comprehend this when looking in a mirror. thats why you see the object behind the mirror.

now if we know something, and yet our brain still cant comprehend it. well how can it comprehend things we dont know of yet?

To be honest i think that that is where we should be concentrating our discussion. Maybe we aren't capable of comprehending that kind of question, let alone the answer, but it's better than arguing over such contentious issues as current religions

I class myself as a person in the middle of it all however I dont feel angry and swear at the people around me arguing over it. I let them get on with it. I am not religious I do however have Faith and as covered by Karl that is what counts regardless of what anyone else says.

I don't follow any religion, but as Karl said, i have faith too - i'd LIKE to find out something more substantial, but until facts or fiction can be confirmed it seems fruitless... i set the target in a different place anyway, let all you mortals keep debating this era haha!
