Leirvik Shadowblad spec tips.

Hey all,

I know there is a sb thread already, but i dont wanen hijack his tread as this is about a completly other spec.

i wanne bring my sb when done to Leirvik. U can get 44.5 and ml3 there fyi.

Could i get some tips how to spec best and what Ra's would help me best on my way to RR4 (leirvik cap).

I've gotten this spec from a friend:

35st 21cs 34la 36sw 19env.

From another friend who suggest having

35st and 39sw and he also suggest high env.

With char builder ive made this

27st 34cs 34la 34sw 19env.
Tho some said 27st may be to low.


Any advice is welcome please.

Low stealth makes having high CS a bit redundant. As the lower your stealth, the more problems you'll have getting a P.A. in.

With +'s added I'd try to keep my stealth up to level (e.g. 35+9 at 44)

this is rr3 specc and it works very well.

just have a pair of MP gloves to switch whe u apply poisons so all u need is +2 poison in template +7 on gloves +2 rr.

i really dont know much about sbs ofc, but ive seen u all ask how much u can get + skill. is it really that important to get +9(11) on every skill then?

only if u wan't to max out your toon if u didn't care u wouldn't have asked on a forum , so i will answer as u do really care.

answer: Yes it does count!!!!!111


but to elaborate whu u must have +11 on all is cause sb's are the underdogs versus ns+ inf dmg wise for the exception of sb 2h pa's, so we need all the dmg output and best gear to even compete.

Agre I went 33 stealth/22 left axe / 27axe/ 34crit & 35 env - works very well

enven: 21+13 (swap items with enven bonus)
stealth: 30+13
CS: 39+13
LA: 28+13
Sword: 31 (or axe) +13

sure, LA evade stun is nice ok, but but when u got the CS line you don't really need LA styles at all... just spec high enough LA to negate the weapon damage penalty you get for dual wielding in midgard.

PA+CD+SS/BS2+thighcut as openers, Hamstring+leaper as evade styles and garrote+achilles heel as backup (anytime styles).


let's face it, this spec is similar to play a lvl50 stealther.
Leirvik is a good place to start learning to play an assassin, therefore i see no reason to play shadowzerker in leirvik as it is clearly inferior to the CS SB endgame.
the game changes and so does the SB, Soulblades and Shadowzerkers aren't even close to what they used to be

all my leirvik chars got excellent templates
and i have previous expreience as a valkyrie as this is my second valk .

And yea ull prolly kill my sb as im a complete noob with it :<. But hey reason th emore to learn to play with it.

Shadowzerker = 44-50 LA and low/none critical strike
Soulblbade = 34-44CS and 39-44LA and 20ish envenom

Soulblade is actually the spectype closest to the ones being used today... (lol that sounded like something taken from an archeology classroom).
Nowadays we only dump weapon spec, just keeping it equal to your own level+1 (including gear and realm rank bonuses)

is it a good idea to spec as 2h only sb? I mean skip whole LA stuff etc? I know that 2nd weap means 2 poisons for example plus bonuses etc but maybe (just maybe) it is worth considering it? And what do you think this spec should looks like?

with 2h spec, you hit hard and slow, with ws/con debuff and disease, youll hit soft and slow.. so 2 weapons that hits abit less but faster is better dmg over time, i was 35 stealth (too much for leirvik imo), 34 CS, 34 LA, only 29 sword, but i did okish dmg anyway.. wont ever forget when i 3 shot a shar vamp without PA/BS right after i killed a tic was great fun :> i barely had any envenom, did ok anyway

well yes, when i was in leirvik, i never had to do more than 2 styles on a caster with 2h.. and thats with 29 sword ^^

vav go for my spec and get belt of sun and use the axe 4.2 spd and trators dagger 3.8 spd and you will have very good dmg output.

there is a reason i allway's have 3 stealthers on me at once , the buggers don't wanna die vs me anymore.
