Hello to you, guildless people! Legends of Camelot is currently looking to expand it's membership with about 3 new members. If you are guildless and the summary above interests you, please read on. If you're still interested after reading the below, then please read the charter on our website and sign up at our Application Forum at www.akebono.cistron.nl. Our Induction Council (Greldar, Elendyl, Lugi/Maliz) will reply to your application within one day.
Guilds are not made up by loot or experience. They are made up by it's people.
Our goal is to create a tightly knit (most important), experienced, and raid capable guild - without losing sight of two important things - being friendly and having fun. Induction into the guild is determined by a set of guidelines established by the guild Induction Council (IC). If you are interested in joining LoC, you will find a guild application section in our forums.
Legends of Camelot was established after the downfall of it's mother guild, Legends of Marr, on the Zebuxurok server in EverQuest. Legends of Marr was a well-respected, friendly guild with about 150 members, lead by a very inspiring and wise guild leader called Lithel. Unfortunately Lithel did not have time anymore to run his guild. Should he ever decide to join our ranks again, he will be more than welcome.
This guild was set up by Yomar, his former assistant, to give former Legends of Marr members in EverQuest a chance to start with a clean sheet in a new game, while also accepting new members who have no connection or whatsoever with Legends of Marr. We have played many MMORPG's, amongst which EverQuest, Ultima Online, Anarchy Online and Dark Age of Camelot.
Though our knowledge about Dark Age of Camelot itself might still be limited (every MMORPG has unique aspects), we know what it takes to lead a guild in a professional way - something that is far too often underestimated by inexperienced guild leaders. Legends of Camelot is the answer to the enormous amount of guilds out there only focussed on loot, experience, egocentrism and power struggles. Legends of Camelot is unique - there are no other guilds like it.
Our guild is based on friendship, ethical principles, professionalism, high standards and commitment. We expect you to behave like adults. Be nice, be wise. Friendship is more important than loot. You are expected to help your fellow-members out of free will, without expecting anything back. You are expected to know that kill stealing is not ethical. You are expected to know that using bad language is not professional. You are expected not to rest until we have achieved the highest goal in the game. You are expected to sacrifice a lot of your time to this guild. This doesn't mean that you need to play 24 hours a day, but we do expect you to play regularly (2, 3 times a week).
If you are interested in further information about the guild, please check out Guild Rules, where you will find general information on our raiding, looting, and general guild guidelines. Please note that these rules are based on our experiences in EverQuest and are therefore subject to change without prior notice.
Maybe just a simple look around and the consideration of others before yourself, is the key to overcoming personal addictions. - Lithel
The importance of friendship
MMORPGs are temporary and eventually people will loose interest in the game. We have foreseen this and made up some kind of agreement saying that when this happens, we will try to reach a concensus about which game to move to next. It could be Shadowbane, it could be World of Warcraft, it could be EQII. At this stage, we don't know. What we do know though is that we will choose a game the majority of the guild would love to play, so that we can ensure that the guild can continue and that we won't loose too many friends.
