left/right headphones swapped

as you can tell from the subject, left goes out the right ear, and vice versa in winamp, tfc, cs, and everything else

how do i fix this? since there's only one line out on the soundcard, i can't do anything about the hardware, except rewire the headphones

so are there any software options?

it's a creative soundblaster 64v pci

Check the headphones for L and R written on them. Then check your slippers for L and R. Make sure the L's are on the same side :uhoh:

that's not it

i'm putting the headphones on the correct way, with the L and R marked accordingly

i've tried putting them on the other way round but that just cuts into my cranium, hurts like hell

buy new cans or use yer sound progie in windows and games to switch balance

tried a different set of headphones but its still reverse

and i can't seem to find anything which will switch the balance

am i looking in the wrong places?
