Any good sites to get tips and techniques on how to draw cartoons,
i am pretty crappy but i want to get somewhat proficient at it :)

aim is to make it digital but i dont mind drawing on paper and scanning it in then colouring etc on a pc

you can get loads of books and stuff about it but the main thing is to practice, you wont be able to do anything just by reading about it just open mspaint or get some paper and draw, a good tip if you want to practice copying stuff is turn the pic your copying upside down then draw it, you'll find you draw the angles and lines easier because your just copying shapes not anything that makes sence.

Maybe try some photoshop basic tutorials, here is one im woking my way through at the moment. As for on paper just find a picture on the internet you like and try and copy it, get as many difference shade pencils as you can. Make it greyscale if that helps you to decide on what shades to use.

Deviantart is a great source for inspiration!

Is it worth getting one of those funky pens which let you rdraw on your pc?
or is it better just to use outlines on paper and scan them in?
