Apparently, IBM have confirmed that although recommended use of the 120GXP is 333 hours/month, the warrenty still holds for drives operating 24/7, i.e. servers, etc.

I don't think ppl would buy a HD with a warranty that stated "only valid if HD is used used less than 8 hours a day and is kept in the fridge"

my thoughts exactly, tho marketing seems to do strange things to 'people'
