Laptops and mobile phones

Anyone running DAOC on a laptop and mobile phone setup? If you are can you give some information regarding equipment needed and costs?

Am UK based too.

Heard talk and read some about GPRS technology that companies like Vodafone use. They charge for data sent and received. As far as i can make out running the game does not really cause much data sending and receiving - bar for the patches. Can anyone confirm this?

Info required for a mate who doesn't have tel line - but has high spec laptop!

Are you that obsessed that you can't go without for a few days/weeks?

unless gprs is verry cheap its going to cost you a bundle.
I think last time i checked 1h of daoc was about 10MB

aye, daoc dont use that much data, iv run it on my laptop and mobile a few times with only triangle lag, its not worth it tho even though its free cos its included in my free call package.

Equipment: lappy with IR and sony ericsson T68i with IR on it its pretty much plug...er...put near each other...and play.
