Laptop with £1000 budget

lookin to buy a laptop for £1000 or less can anyone help me get the best gameing performance on that budget.

Some piece of Dell 9300 series? Although I heard rumours about overheating of Dell notebooks when playing games... Can't say, I don't have any to try.

My works Dell D600 (it's 2 years old) overheated when playing DAOC back in January. I now use it with a laptop cooler, now I doubt I'd play games on any laptop without a cooler Dell did replace the mobo under warranty, not problems and it was fixed within 48 hours.

I have been getting a lot of the new Dell D610s which are lovely machines but recently I got a couple of demo laptop from HP/Compaq to trial which are really lovely to use (I think they're NX5000).

Moral is there's plenty of nice ones around Dell and HP do some nice laptops for less than a grand, oh if your wanting a cooler I got him at Amazon HERE
