Does anybody else find Lapdancing clubs as funny and embarrasing as myself? While my mates wonder off and buy dances with the pretty women, I just stand there with my overpriced beer and get all embarrassed.

Its only the second time I've ever been in one of these places, and I just can't bring myself to pay a woman (no matter how good looking) to push her norks into my face and waggle her butt around. Its too bloody embarrassing.

When the first lap-dancing club in Plymouth opened called "Temptations" a week later myself and 5 other friends went along to see what all the fuss was about.

£10 to get in and be a member. As soon as we went in myself and another mate just sat away from the other three thinking we'd just have a few drinks and see what was going on but not take part. However as it was quiet girls swarmed us. After forcing myself to stop laughing uncontrollably I "Chatted to the one next to me". It's funny how they seemed to like everything you do . Anyhow after an hour £10 was paid for a dance that lasted for one song (2 minutes?). VERY embrassing the first time, but later on after a few more drinks and another dance you get into the swing of things and it becomes dangerous. I had to stop my mate taking his credit card out, once our cash ran out.

Probably won't go back, not just because my girlffriend would tear my bollocks off, but the cost and seedyness of it all is stupidly high, but I'd recommend going just once if anyone wants to see what it's all about.

I used to DJ at a few Sunday Sport lap dancing nights that happened at the club I played at. It was hilarious to watch coz for the most part the lads would club together to pay £10 for a girl to table dance for them, and she ended up stuffing loose change into her boots instead of the ever-so-more-erotic tenner in her thong

Lap dancing clubs rock for special occasions etc. We went as a finale to the end of our second year at uni and it was a class night, went round a few bars then at the strip joint. I found it neither embarassing nor sleazy (except the old men in there wearing raincoats and checkered shirts), paying just a tenner to have a hot naked lady writh all over your body? Yes please! Student loan well spent! That was the one thing that pleasantly surprised me actually, was that they strip down to the buff.

a. You've got deep pockets
b. You don't take it seriously at all

I do have a mate who goes out with a lapdancer, and yes, he did meet her at the club and she is a very nice person (and well fit, natch).

A lapdancing trip also once saved me a lot of hassle with a disgruntled staff member (its a amazing what paying a girl to shove their norks in a guy's face saves on pay rises - I should have put it on expenses).

Think prostitution is one of the oldest occupations, dont think we had any moral values to start with.

Just got back from a stag night in Prague last weekend, needless to say there were plenty of strip clubs visited. Few people got dances, but we mostly just sat and watched the pole dancing. They actually paid for the stag to have a shag but he refused, so she got on the table and got naked instead. Its just a good laugh, you just need to not take it too seriously. Only ever been to one in Britain, and my housemate ended up living with a stripper he met there for two years. Was in Wolverhampton, really seedy though, ones in Prague are much higher class
