LanBash 2000
Event: Saturday 6th May 2000
Time: 7pm - 4am
Cost: £10.00
Given the demand for places at our events (MAX 60), we recommend getting your place
registered as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment.
Please note that your computer needs a Network Interface Card (or NIC) in
order to participate on the network. These are generally not installed as
standard with new systems, but are relatively inexpensive and available from
most good computer stores. Our networks are UTP-based, which means that you
need a 10BaseT or 100BaseT capable network card in order to connect. If you
already have a network card, check that it has a "telephone-like" connector
on the back (RJ45). If you don't fancy the fuss of installing your own
card, you can purchase one, which we will install and configure for you on
the night Free of Charge. For most people, 10 Mbit cards will be fine, but if
you want to take full advantage of our network a 10/100 Network card is best.
If you have your own network card, it is essential you bring any driver disks that came with the card, as we do not have drivers for any cards.
