Theres a LAN party in the North East of england if any1 here is interested... that url is http://www.badlanrising.co.uk/ and the cost is £20 for the w/e or £12 for one day. It is in Middlesbrough and there are places for 60-90 people. So far we have 20 signed up and the next event is in february (5th and 6th).... the network is a 100Mbit switched HUB so bring your 10/100baseT cards along with ya

plenty of stuff going on at the event and theres bound to be some prizes for the tournaments

As one of the organisers of Bad LAN Rising, I would like to say there is no LAN party war that I am aware of, and I actually attended FLO and enjoyed myself. So there.

LAN parties in general are a classy idea, that was my first one up in middlesbrough, it wont be my last

V good fun, i suggest going to BadLansRising if youve been aprehensive about all these LANs and meeting other ppl. It really is good fun, and the pizza places in middlesbrough are suprisingly good

Yeh man, all LAN parties are well worth going to, LAN's are the way forward, they get us sad B*"£&^$s out and get us to socialise

Hehe, anyway, remember that BADLAN are still looking for new people to sign up, we have over 40 now, and looking for many, many more.
We now have a 10/100 switched network, to keep the games up to speed, and UT, Q3A and QW will be played at blr #4.
