NEXT EVENT

Well we're off and we have had a few parties amongst friends as a test run and we think we are now ready for our first invitation LAN party , so start sending in those e-mails for your place at the next event which will be held on Sun 7th may 2000 from 10am-7pm (maybe longer).
We are looking for around 20-30 people to join us at this event , at a cost of around £5-£10 pounds for the day. (we'll let you know how much when returning your e-mail for conformation).
Food and refreshments will be available ie. burgers , hot dogs tea coffee etc at a small cost , (maybe even a few beers).
All you need to bring is yourself's and of course your PC and periferals.
(NOTE , you will also need a long extension lead and 5-10 mtr RJ45 network cable)

We do this for fun not for profit !!.
But if Any profit made it will go towards equipment not in our pockets.

Oh well, try not to kill it with your own selfishness like you did Q2BattleUK.
Or do you like to make a habit of wrecking other peoples hard work?

I urge anyone involved to watch out, this guy is a nob-end that took over Q2BattleUK and eventually destroyed it when he got bored. He wasted many, many hours of our hard work in developing it, and then just walzed off when things went against his dictatorship.

I just hope he is more considerate and capable at running something when he mioght have to meet the people he works with than he was with our league.

lets get our facts straight shall we shovel , firstly if your dick was as big as your mouth then perhaps you'd have something to shout about , as for the league it was mine to do with as i saw fit , you offered assistance and i accepted , never at any time did i put you in charge of anything more than graphic design and game admin , YOU
promoted yourself more than once and started ganging things without my consent , oh no wiat i do beleive i made you head admin at one time but you couldnt handle it , so i passed it on to someone who could , but you still had to cause problems and stick yer beak in things that were not you consern , you and a couple of others did nothing but cause problems instead of doing what needed to be done (admin games and keep record of scores) but you couldnt even do that , so yes i closed it down because i was fed up with you and those like you , cladly i dont have to include kryten as one of those few , or Rob for that matter .
stick it where the sun dont shine.
and for your information i do not run the lan parties i just help out where i can , and do whats asked of me , and guess what every thing runs smoothly because we dont have interfearing assholes like you onboard ,
and feck any spelling misstakes.

Maybe you should have made that clear to those of us involved first then? Obviously you couldnt, if we all thought that you were just going to take over then we wouldnt have offered you are superior skills. And its just as well we didnt have your consent, or else it would never have happened. The league fell into a rut within about 2 weeks, you were doing FUCK ALL, you were paying now attention to the clans comments/complaints, and as soon as a mob comes running from the outside you change one poorly thought out rule to another, even more poorly planned rule. When we eventually decided to change things, still in the clear belief that we were entitled to, you fucked off, you ran like the poor excuse for a wuss that you are. You had failed dismally at trying to organise something that was out of your depth, you had already offended people into leaving, and you were not capable of running a league of that size on your own. No one would have been, not me, not you, not Exocet. We had a new plan, it WOULD have worked, but you realised that, and refused to let other people gain from "your" loss.

Thank God you did make me head admin, I dread to think what would have happened if you had been in charge of it. If concentrating on my school work, and working for the best coursework grades I could get, counts as "not being able to handle it" - then I'm sure you are right. Except for the fact that it doesnt. In fact, I was doing the website, the admins, and a large quantity of your work at this time. Doing something in my own life that matters more than a failing league, well, I think you'll understand why I stepped down. Oh, and for the record, I appointed Dynamic as new head admin, for I actually knew the people, you made fuck all effort to get to know anyone. At the end of the day, you probably still dont know who is capable of what.

Is the fact that the league was falling apart, that we had no webmaster, that the organisation had fallen apart, that the "Head of Operations" (formerly known as yourself) was passing crass shit into the rules and anything else that people complained about a fair reason to try and change things????? Erm, no. In fact your reasons at the time, went along the lines of havoing had one to many clan complaints.
It was also quite clear that you had realised you were going to lose your "power" to a better system, and didnt like the idea of other people doing it right without you.

Also, in your email, I was one of the people you praised, one of the ones you said had worked damn hard. Its just a shame you are too selfish to let OUR hard work come to anything.

Andy, you cannot win this argument, for ONE very good reason, you dont know what happened. You know what you WANT to have happened (probably involving faries, gnomes and kings of camalot), but you were never involved enough to know what really happened. I was in IRC pretty much every day for some time. I was in every weekend to check on games etc.
You rarely appeared in IRC. You rarely knew what was going on. You never got most of the complaints, cause we ended up dealing with them on the spot.
All you did for the league was think of the name.
The rest, well, it was a disarster wasnt it. You know that as well as I.

Well if im going to throw in my tu'pences worth,
1. i say we just forget about it
2. q2battleuk was a good idea concieved and intended well.
3. it does no good people slagging others off and trying to place the blame anywhere else.
4. andy, ben, you are both decent blokes in my opinion, i think it best if you just let it rest, a lot happened during the time q2battleuk was running and i was sad to see it go, let alone to see too good friends fighting on a public msgboard about who's fault it was that it was closed down.
5. im no good at listing things so i shall leave it here.

Kryten mate, we can't just forget about it, but you are right, this is not the place to hold a heated debate about Q2BUK.

you all know my opinions on this matter, and if you don't then I feel no reason why you should, so let's leave it with the people involved, and not drag the (primarilly) fine people of this board into an internal affair.
