As Styx has highlighted we're well aware of these players’ actions and we've implemented a number of steps to stop this clan's gaming on any of the BarrysWorld RtCW servers. Their anonymity is not the case, we do have such methods of tracing the players to their clans. Any such players will have their CD Keys and IP's banned server-wide.

Any reportings of players with this clan, could you immediately report it to #bwadmins channel. By typing 'rtcw admin' you should get a response quickly, otherwise please leave a message with one of the known public admins.

A server-wide ban will also be implemented on the league servers, which will stop such disruptive players participating in the league.

I am running my own server 24/7/365, 213.237.26.164, and i would really like to know how i can ban ppl by their cdkey.
Could you please tell me about it ??
I would also like to exchange banned cdkeys/ip's, so they never connect to my server....

CD Keys can be banned with PunkBuster, which would be up to your server vendor to install. If it's your own server, go to http://www.evenbalance.org and get PB from there, it's free for personal use.

I'm afraid we can't exchange banned information though, it's unfair of us to do so.

I don't think it's unfair... If you ban them there must be a reason.... why not help other server admins to keep these punks away from the game ?

It's simply that people that are banned on BW servers, are just that. It's a controversial point to ban them on other servers because of an action they committed elsewhere. I can understand how that seems a little silly in a way, but it's something that's not done with BW, i'm afraid.

they may be arseholes

but they are protected by law arseholes =)

If anyone is going to exchange banned cd keys I STRONGLY advise that on your server webpage that you warn people of this before they connect.

That 'MIGHT' (and I mean might) get you round the legal implications of passing user cd keys and ip addresses around.

Yes, I find it scary that servers can get your cdkey in the first place.. (though apparently it can be helpful too)

we have to be very careful on information about potential clients in my work - I am surprised that games servers are exempt.

tbh I think muppets like knoxville and some of the other keyboard rockys we encounter on servers SHOULD be cd key banned - the sooner we get rid of them from all of the networks the better.

These muppets only respect one thing - Bannings - its the only thing that keeps them in line. The likes of him and some of the antics that cunny have gotten up to in the past is shockin.
