I don't know what happened between the demo and the release of the final "completed" game, but the lag is awful.

I ping between 30-60 for both the demo and full game, I have no problems in the demo, but am experiencing some with the full game (both have the same settings).

On a good note, there are some awesome maps, and there are some BIG maps specially the desert ones, I ejected from my plane earlier today and spent forever walking back, didn't even know what direction to go in as all I could see was sand and canyons.

God dammit. ISDN shouldn't be this bad. In every game I've tried online with the full version so far, I've had intermittent to permanent patches of lag that makes my ping go above the display limit of 1023. This isn't just lag. It's not goddamn playable. It doesn't seem to matter how many people there are.

And uh I don't think it's my connection. The demo worked and works fine. Other games work fine. The ping from game browsers is fine. It's not my framerate or anything either. Geh.

Yeah general perfromance overall for the retail product seems substantially down on demo performance to me

I have ISDN too, just make sure you click the 56k modem box on the multiplayer-internet menu thingie...

Also don't just do that then quit the program to join through ase or something. Make sure you can join and play the game then exit it, otherwise the setting doesn't seem to get saved.

I had the same problem of a ping greater than 1000 when I first got the demo fixed by this, then the same thing happned wih the full version till I got it to stay on 56k modem setting, plays just fine now.

And I've learnt not to get into vehicles with Summo too
