Lag?

Was it just me who thought the lag today was insane? Im running on a p4 1.8with a geforce 4 and 128k connection, so should be able to handle it (I thought), but the lag was far worse than I've had for a long time (relic raids apart).

when you switch off all the eye-candy like water-effects, shadows etc. and reduce the clipping range, use the LOD function ... it'll be a bit faster.

but otherwise the Lag features a la :

ay i did this too; in the beginning it wasnt playable turned of the ambient sound and now it runs smooth

Well, it all runs smooth for me... just my'Lag-Radar' still works.

Spin around, the direction where my screen freezes is where someone is.

Hm, I rather like the ambient sound system. I'll try turning it off, though, and see how much of a difference it makes.
